Getting started
Add your medications by speaking them, importing them from Apple Health, or choosing screenshots from another app. Check the drafts before saving them. You can also enter medications by hand in Medications.
Choose a schedule for each medication, or log it as needed. Then use Today to record each dose.
Reminders
Dose can notify you when a dose is due. Turn this on or off under Settings → Reminders. Notifications show medication names, so they can appear on your Lock Screen.
Today
Each scheduled dose starts unchecked until you mark it taken or choose Skip from its options menu. You can also log an extra dose of anything in your Medications list. Extra doses are kept as separate records and don’t change your schedule.
Opening privately
To hide medication names from people nearby, long-press the Dose icon and choose Open Privately. Names return after 30 minutes, or right away if you tap the button next to the Today title. This is a quick screen against glances, not a lock. Notifications and widgets still show full names.
Subscription
Dose costs $9.99 a year or $1.99 a month, and both include a 14-day free trial if you haven’t used one. Apple handles billing, so you can cancel in your Apple Account’s subscription settings. If your access ends, your history stays visible and you can still export your data, but reminders stop and you can’t log or edit until you subscribe again.
Your data
Your records stay on your iPhone, with no Dose account. To save a copy, choose Settings → Export data. Deleted medications go to Settings → Trash, where you can restore them or delete them permanently. Read the privacy policy for details.
Dose is a personal record-keeping tool. It does not provide medical advice or recommend doses. Follow the instructions from your healthcare professional.
